Appliance Testing: PAT Testing
Portable
appliance testing is a series of visual and electrical tests for
electrical equipment connected to the mains supply via a removed
plug.
The 'code of practice' for in service inspection and testing
of electrical equipment’ was introduced to enable companies
& organisations to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations
(EAWR) 1989.
The EAWR requires electrical systems to be maintained in a condition
so as not to cause danger.

The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
Who should use our services?
All employers, self-employed, landlords and those who invite the
public to their premises, should have their equipment tested periodically.
Testing
Each appliance is comprehensively tested to meet requirements
of the IEE code of practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing
of Electrical Equipment.
We use the latest computerised PAT testing equipment and are able
to test all portable appliances or fixed appliances in your company
including - IT equipment, 110 V equipment. A fully qualified electrical
engineer will carry out the inspection and testing.
